Sideshow will be opening up pre-orders for The 30th Anniversary Edition Yavin Luke on Thursday April 12th. This is great news for you hardcore, deep pocketed collectors out there who just can’t be without another collectible Star Wars figurine, but why do all the Luke’s like like crap? Here do a search for Luke’s on Sideshow’s site. Theres a nice Dagobah Luke and Yoda set where the Yoda is excellent and the Luke is almost passable but the rest blow. I’ve never seen a good replica of Luke to date and this is one of the worst in my opinion. You’ll probably be paying at least $150US for this fine collectible, wouldn’t you want it to actually look like Luke? Maybe it’s just me.

Sideshow has landed 1000 units of Medicom’s Exclusive 30th Anniversary Sandtrooper. This unit is extremely detailed and definitely one of the most film accurate collectibles for the Star Wars series. Each Sandtrooper figure stands 12inches tall(1/6th scale) and can be positioned in any pose desired as they are highly articulated. They include interchangeable hands and a display base, as well as packaged in a beautiful window display box. Expect these models to sell fast even at the steep price of $149.99US.

  Sideshowtoys will be importing the Medicom Toy Boba Fett RAH series Action figure.  This is exciting news because this rendition of Boba is one of the best that I’ve seen in an action figure and also, is not as pricey as some of the other Fett collectibles.  This Boba is a 1/6th scale figure featuring colorings and markings from The Empire Strikes Back movie.  The pre-order with Sideshow will begin January 26th, 2007 and the orders should be fulfilled in July 2007.  Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars Trilogy Disney-MGM Studios in Florida will be giving fans the chance to purchase a little piece of history this summer. Disney has merged 4 legendary characters with Star Wars lore to produce instant classics. Last years figure was the Jedi Mickey which sold out in hours and now this year we have an X-Wing Fighter Pilot Mickey, Princess Minnie, Stormtrooper Donald, and Darth Goofy. Each character will be numbered from an edition size of just 600 each, complete with certificate of authenticity and cost $175US. The price tag may sound steep but these are extremely limited edition collector figures and can only be purchased during the event; also, these figures are actually quite large ranging in size between 17 and 23inches.
